Sputnik News Agency will officially introduce Servicio Español Sputnik, a Spanish-language multimedia service, on December 11. Servicio Español Sputnik will target audience of some 500 million Spanish-speaking Internet users across the world.

MOSCOW, December 11 (Sputnik) – Servicio Español Sputnik, a Spanish-language multimedia service combining website Sputnik Mundo, newswire Sputnik Nóvosti and its Spanish-language radio station, will be rolled out on December 11 during an official presentation at the Rossiya Segodnya press center.

Media news service Servicio Español Sputnik has a target audience of some 500 million of Spanish-speaking Internet users across North and South America, Europe, Asia and Africa.

"News stories are originally written for Sputnik in the Spanish language, since we believe it is not right to translate them. We offer a variety of opinions and takes on events, including those that are never voiced in other media," said Miguel Bas, head of the Spanish multimedia service, Servicio Español Sputnik.

The Spanish multimedia service provides first-hand reports that will be of interest both to professionals subscribed to our Sputnik Nóvosti newswire, and a broader audience, who read our Sputnik Mundo web page or listen to Sputnik radio.

More than 80 foreign-based correspondents are on its staff, gathering exclusive news stories, videos and photo materials for Sputnik Mundo, and preparing radio shows. Sputnik Mundo Moscow is available round the clock, with a Montevideo and Buenos Aires offices scheduled to open in 2015.

Sputnik Nóvosti newswire is updated 24/7. It publishes 150 to 200 articles a day, ranging from news stories on global events to on-the-scene reports, to exclusive interviews and expert comments.

Sputnik Nóvosti can be accessed via online news terminal in Spanish, by e-mail or using file transfer protocol (FTP). Inquiries about subscription can be sent at sales@sputniknews.com.

At present, all our Spanish radio shows are aired from Moscow, with more studios to be open soon in South America. You can listen to our broadcasts at mundo.sputniknews.com, a website that also hosts a variety of popular Spanish radio shows, such as "El Punto", which offers a scoop of daily political highlights; and "Que Pasa", an analytic radio show that broadcasts expert comments on all major global events.

The website also offers a choice of sport and art programs, as well as "Moscow Gold" show airing archive radio programs on the best of Russian classic literature, music and arts masterpieces recorded in Moscow over the past 80 years.

The Sputnik multimedia group is a new brand of a news agency and radio with multimedia hubs in dozens of countries. It targets foreign audiences via its main website sputniknews.com, localized web pages in 30 languages, analog and digital radio services, mobile apps and social networks. Sputnik News Service wire is aimed at professionals, with stories in English, Arab, Spanish and Chinese available round the clock.
