Ukraina.ru will launch an English version of their online news and analysis resource on October 30.

MOSCOW, October 29 (RIA Novosti) – The online news and analysis resource, Ukraina.ru, will launch an English-language site, www.en.ukraina.ru, on October 30.

It will publish exclusive spot reports, photographs and videos made in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, comments by witnesses of the war that is raging in that part of Ukraine, local residents’ testimony, assessments and official statements, and commentaries by experts and public figures on the situation around Ukraine.

Ukraina.ru will also offer an analysis of this information. Contributions from over a thousand journalists, bloggers and experts from Ukraine, Russia, Europe and the United States will provide an objective view of developments in Ukraine.

“Ukraina.ru has an audience of about 40,000 Russian speakers. It provides alternative views on the developments in Ukraine, views that differ from the presentation of the events by the majority of Ukrainian and Western media,” said the website’s editor-in-chief, Alyona Berezovskaya. “We believe that English-speaking audiences will find our website interesting.”

“Foreign readers know nothing about the real state of affairs in Ukraine, especially in its southeastern regions. Their views are based on what they learn from local or other foreign media outlets, which provide one-sided and biased information,” Berezovskaya said.

The average daily page views of Ukraina.ru exceed 200,000. The resource has over 24,000 subscribers in the social media.

The multimedia online resource Ukraina.ru is a 24/7 source of the latest news and analytical reports on the developments in Ukraine, in particular the armed conflict underway in the southeastern regions. It will publish expert opinion and views on the crisis in Ukraine, in-depth analyses of the cultural and historical causes of the conflict and the current situation, and reports on Russian-Ukrainian relations. It will also monitor foreign media reports on Ukraine to provide objective information and to cover the international aspects of the crisis in Ukraine.

Ukraina.ru is a Rossiya Segodnya online resource that provides timely reports on the developments in Ukraine. It was launched in June 2014.
