    Newly released footage from a US airbase in Niger captures a stunning timelapse view of the center of the Milky Way moving across the nighttime skies.

    Although it’s just 12 seconds long, the recording is filled with impressive views.

    Released to the public via the Defense Visual Information Distribution Service, the video was filmed by Staff Sgt. Devin Boyer at Nigerien Air Base 201 in Agadez, Niger, on July 13.
