    Moscow condemns the terrorist attack in the capital of Burkina Faso that claimed lives of more than 20 people, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Saturday.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) – On Friday evening, terrorists seized a hotel and a cafe frequented by westerners in Ouagadougou. At least 27 people were killed by gunmen before security forces stormed the venues, according to latest reports.

    “Moscow strongly condemns this criminal activity, the responsibility for which was claimed by al-Mourabitoun extremist group, affiliated with the well-known al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) terror group. We express our deepest condolences to the families and friends of those killed and wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” the ministry said in a statement.
