    Egyptian President Abdel Fatah Sisi accepted Saturday the resignation of the country’s Cabinet of Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab, local media reported.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) The cabinet met earlier on Saturday and decided to submit the resignation to the president, according to Al-Ahram Arabic news website. Sisi told the cabinet to remain in a caretaker role until a new cabinet was formed, the media reported.

    The resignation follows the arrest of Egyptian Minister of Agriculture Selah Helal for corruption and accepting bribes.
