    Suspected Boko Haram militants are said to have set fire to homes and mosques in a northeastern Nigerian village.

    Militants suspected of belonging to Boko Haram killed nearly 100 people in a northeastern Nigerian village on Thursday, witnesses who fled the area told AFP.

    According to the witnesses, the militants set homes on fire and attacked a mosque where villagers had gathered for prayers after breaking their Ramadan fast.
