    Uganda announced that it was improving security after receiving threats by Somalia's Shebab militants.

    Uganda announced that it was improving security after receiving threats by Somalia's Shebab militants’ who are linked to al Qaeda Islamists.

    The emergency warning was issued late on Wednesday with the US mission in Kampala informing that it received information of possible terrorist threats against locations where Westerners, including US citizens, reside in Kampala and additionally, that an attack may take place soon.
