Nigerian Army troops have killed 27 Boko Haram militants and seized the terrorists' hideout with a number of rifles and motorcycles, as well as some documents and the list of communities to become the target of future attacks.

MOSCOW, December 10 (Sputnik) — Nigerian Army troops have captured extremist group Boko Haram's hideout in the Balmo Forest, killing 27 militants, the Punch newspaper reported Wednesday.

According to the newspaper, who referred to Nigeria's defense authorities, the country's special forces managed to recover a number of rifles and motorcycles, as well as some documents and the list of communities to become the target of future attacks.

Six Nigerian soldiers are reported to have been injured during the raid.

Boko Haram is a violent Nigerian military group that aims to impose the Sharia law on the territory of Nigeria and that is behind the majority of the terrorist attacks in the country.

On November 28, several bomb explosions took place near the central mosque in the Nigerian city of Kano, killing at least 120 people and injuring more than 270, with Boko Haram suspected of having carried out the attack.
