As the UN states on its website: "All major global issues, from health to hunger, gender equality to jobs, education to industry, and disasters to peace," are hampered by dysfunction in the water cycle. Global water use is the main question of the UN's three-day water conference, which starts on Wednesday and also commemorates the 30th anniversary of World Water Day.
