A month after the girls released the single album 'Hula Hoop/Starseed' on music sites, they are now launching a characteristically colourful music video as the band breaks in to Japan.
Blockberry Creative, the management team behind girl-band sensation Loona, on 16 October launched the music video for 'Hula Hoop' on the band's official Youtube Channel as the group released the lead song from their debut solo single in Japan.
The band's 12 members - HeeJin, HyunJin, HaSeul, YeoJin, ViVi, Kim Lip, JinSoul, Choerry, Yves, Chuu, Go Won and Olivia Hye - appear in a colourful and retro design and the youthful energy they inject into their performance is infectious. The song tells about what it's like when a person has a crush on somebody and the talented girls pull the whole thing off perfectly.
Right after the digital release last month Loona ranked first in 26 regions on the iTunes album chart, and ranked 12th in the Japanese Line Music weekly chart, proving how popular they are and that they are lining up to be the pre-eminent girll-groups of K-Pop's fourth generation. The physical copy of the album will be available in Japan on 20 October.
Loona debuted in 2016 and gained popularity quickly as the line-up consists of such an eclectic bunch of diversely talented performers.
