Subscribe
The country is coping with the consequences of a powerful 7.1-magnitude tremor, which hit near the resort city of Acapulco overnight, frightening thousands and killing one person.
The quake was so powerful it even rocked buildings in Mexico City, which is located around 380 kilometres from the epicentre. It left over one and a half million people across the country without electricity and triggered numerous landslides.
Photos from the affected area show damaged cities, streets full of debris, and frightened people gathering outside buildings.
