US NGO Proekt Media Included in Russia’s List of Undesirable Organisations
17:10 GMT 23.07.2021 (Updated: 08:56 GMT 15.11.2022) MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The work of US non-governmental organisation Proekt Media is officially declared as "undesirable" in Russia, the Russian Justice Ministry said on Friday.
"On 23 July, the Russian Justice Ministry included a foreign non-governmental organisation Project Media, Inc. in the list of foreign and international non-governmental organisations whose activities are recognised as undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation", the ministry said in a statement.
In February, the RT broadcaster published own investigation saying that Proekt, which positions itself as independent, received funds in the form of grants from European and US authorities.
