NASA Astronauts Perform Spacewalk Outside ISS to Upgrade the Station

The next spacewalk will be performed on 5 March by Kate Rubins and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Soichi Noguchi, as the crew proceeds with the renewal of the station's power supply system, which began in January 2017.

Crew members of expedition 64 at the International Space Station (ISS) are performing the 71st spacewalk, which is expected to last six and a half hours. NASA astronauts Kate Rubins and Victor Glover enter outer space in order to assemble and install modification kits required for upcoming solar array upgrades.
