Now sworn-in US President Joe Biden is set to zero in on the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, with plans to administer 100 million vaccinations in his first 100 days, as well as to restore the country’s membership in the WHO.

Sputnik is live from the White House, where Press Secretary Jen Psaki is holding a news conference, joined by Dr Anthony Fauci, the new administration’s top medical adviser on COVID-19 issues.

President Joe Biden has revealed an ambitious coronavirus response plan, under which 100 million inoculations will be provided across the country in 100 days. Also, the new administration is set to reverse some of the decisions made by Biden's predecessor, Donald Trump, namely his withdrawal from the World Health Organisation.
