German footballer Mezut Ozil has confirmed his move from Arsenal to Turkish side Fenerbahce.

"I'm very happy, very excited. God has given me the chance to wear the Fenerbahce shirt," he said in an interview with Turkish television channel NTV. “I will wear it with pride and give everything for the team."

The footballer also tweeted a picture of his personal logo, “MO”, in Fenerbahce's yellow and blue colours.

His last appearance for Arsenal was back in March 2020 against West Ham. He reportedly fell out with management and refused to take a 12.5 percent pay cut during the suspension of the English Premier League due to COVID-19.
