Meanwhile, a Sputnik correspondent said President of National Assembly of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan was beaten up by protesters, who demanded Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's resignation.
According to Pashinyan, there was no other way than to sign the joint statement on ceasing hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh. Under the deal, Azerbaijan and Armenia will stop at their current positions, will exchange prisoners and allow for Russian peacekeepers to be deployed in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
