The hearing on Julian Assange's extradition from the UK to the US has been underway since 7 September at the London Central Criminal Court. The court has been hearing arguments in the case, including on Assange's physical and mental condition.

The hearing on WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange's extradition has entered Day 13 at the London Central Criminal Court.

Government and defence officials are poised to take the floor to give their testimonies to the court. The Old Bailey will also continue to examine medical testimonies in Assange's case.

During Wednesday's session, Dr. Quinton Deeley told the court that the risk of Mr. Assange taking his own life is "very high" if he is extradited.

The whistleblower has been indicted by the US Department of Justice on 18 charges, mostly regarding violations under the Espionage Act, and is facing extradition from the United Kingdom to the United States. If convicted of these charges, the WikiLeaks founder faces up to 175 years in prison.
