A minor 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck near Athens, Greece on Thursday, EMSC has reported.

The epicentre laid 17 kilometres northwest of Rafina and at a depth of 6.8 kilometres.

No damages or casualties have been reported so far.

According to eyewitnesses, the earthquake felt like a light shaking that lasted a few seconds.
