On 16 June, police arrested a 50-year-old nurse named Farida during a demonstration demanding an increase in salaries and improvements in working conditions amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Live from Paris, France, where people have gathered in front of a police prefecture to demand the release of a nurse who was arrested at a protest the day before and is currently being held at the facility. 

Footage of the incident that was shared on social media showed the 50-year-old nurse being arrested by a group of more than 10 police officers while she screamed and begged for her inhaler.
