The regional authorities are permitting some restrictions to be lifted starting this week, as the number of new cases in the country dropped, allowing the reopening of bars, restaurants, hairdressers, and other businesses. Churches and museums will also be able to open their doors.

The Italian capital resumes regular life after the longest coronavirus lockdown in the world is eased.

St. Peter's Basilica will reopen after disinfection and will introduce temperature checks for public liturgies. Rome's open markets at Campo de' Fiori, as well as numerous restaurants and bars, will return to normal activity as well.
