Russia Ramps Up Production and Usage of Coronavirus Tests - Prime Minister

Russia has registered 2,777 cases of the new coronavirus as well as 24 fatalities since reporting the first case in late January. Some 121 people have recovered from the disease. The country was among the first to introduce travel restrictions against China and has since promoted self-isolation in order to stop the COVID-19 outbreak.

Russia is actively expanding the manufacture and usage of COVID-19 tests that are carried out in 95 laboratories in the country, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister added that quarantined citizens will be obliged to keep a journal where they will report their state of health, and they will also be required to confirm their self-isolation regime.
