Some 70 people have become trapped under rubble after Xinjia Express hotel building collapsed in Quanzhou, China, People's Daily reported.
The newspaper wrote on Twitter that 23 people had been rescued from beneath the debris as of 9 pm local time.
The number of confirmed coronavirus infections globally has surpassed 102,000, with almost 3,500 deaths, a vast majority of which were in China’s Hubei province where the virus originated. At the same time, more than 57,000 people have recovered.
