The 50th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) is convening world leaders in the Swiss resort village of Davos from 21-24 January to discuss global, regional and industry agendas; this year's theme is ‘Stakeholders for a Cohesive and Sustainable World'.

The WEF has brought together an estimated 3,000 business leaders, heads of state, investors, and others considered to be among the global elite.

Over 1,000 members of the global press have been accredited for the event. For the first time, the organisers have invited a group of YouTube influencers to post videos from Davos.

The first days of the forum featured a special address by US President Donald Trump as well as a ‘Forging a Sustainable Path Towards a Common Future’ session held by environmental activist Greta Thunberg.

On the second day, Ukrainian President Volodymir Zelensky, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and European Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen delivered their speeches.
