Live Updates: One Dead, Dozens Feared Under Rubble in Fortaleza, Brazil Building Collapse - Video

According to the Fire Department, between 10 to 15 people were found in the rubble of the collapsed building. However, more are feared buried or trapped under the debris.

One person has died as a seven-storey residential building in the Dionísio Torres neighbourhood of Fortaleza, Brazil collapsed on Tuesday morning.

​According to the Fire Department, between 10 and 15 people were found in the rubble of the collapsed building. At 11:43 am, the Fire Department confirmed the death of at least one person. Two people were rescued alive.

​People who were close to the scene and suffered minor injuries were taken to hospital. A fire brigade team and two ambulances from the Mobile Emergency Response Service are working on the site.

Streets around the collapsed building have been cordoned off.
