Californian firefighters are reportedly battling a fast-moving blaze that erupted Saturday afternoon in the Riverside community of Juniper Flats.

The fire has already scorched at least 75 acres, prompting evacuations in the affected area, according to California Fire Riverside Department.

According to local media reports, at least 200 firefighters are battling the blaze that is burning heavy fuel in the area. The cause of the fire reportedly remains unknown.

The US state of California has seen multiple wide-ranging wildfires recently.

In 2018, California was hit by the Camp and the Woolsey wildfires, the deadliest and most destructive fires in the state’s history, killing dozens of people and burning over 150,000 acres of the land. Over 12,000 homes and businesses were reportedly destroyed.
