11:30 GMT 01.09.2019 (Updated: 20:03 GMT 19.10.2022) A thrilling video shows huge Florida alligators chomping down on watermelons. In the video, a man throws a watermelon into the alligators' jaws. The alligators make short work of the giant melons, smashing them into hundreds of pieces.
This video was made at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park, which is one of Florida's oldest continuously running attractions, having opened on 20 May 1893. The alligators were added at first to get more visitors to buy souvenirs, but soon the reptiles themselves became the main feature. Gators 'Bomber' and 'Skipper' are the stars of the show.
