S-300 Missile Systems Repel Enemy Strike in South Russia Drills

More than two thousand military personnel and about 2500 units of military and special equipment, including more than 100 aircraft and helicopters, took part in the exercises.

During the drills, the S-300 Favorit surface-to-air missile system squads of the Astrakhan region repelled a massive missile attack by a formidable enemy, the press service of the South Military District reported.

Test firing was also carried out by other complexes including the "Shell-S", "Tunguska" and the "Shilka."
