The fireworks will be displayed in the cities of the former USSR that were liberated during World War II as part of the preparations for the celebrations dedicated to the upcoming 75 th anniversary of Victory day.

Some 50 types of fireworks will be displayed on Saturday night, 13 June, in Moscow to commemorate the liberation of the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius from the Nazi forces during the World War II.

The German Forces had occupied Vilnius for over a thousand days from 24 June 1941 to 13 July 1944, when the Red Army entered the city. Fireworks were launched on the day the city was freed in 1944 in celebration of its liberation.
