A Sukhoi Superjet-100 was forced to make an emergency landing on Sunday at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport due to a fire on board, which ultimately destroyed the aircraft on the ground, killing at least 41.

The Russian Investigative Committee has announced the main versions of what caused the tragedy.

"The investigation is considering various versions for the cause of the incident, among which are the insufficient qualification of pilots, dispatchers and technical inspectors of the plane, as well as aircraft malfunction and adverse weather conditions", the committee said.
