On Tuesday, the final election results showed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud Party won 35 seats - this gives Netanyahu a right to form the next government.

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin officially appointed Benjamin Netanyahu prime minister on Wednesday; therefore, the leader will hold the position for a fourth consecutive term.

At the same time, Rivlin instructed the newly appointed prime minister to assemble a ruling coalition setting a 42-days deadline.

"You are now receiving a mandate to form the next government," Rivlin said addressing Netanyahu during a televised ceremony.
