Sometimes bad weather can be really severe – so you need an umbrella to protect yourself from the strong rain and wind. On other occasions, however, even this is not enough - and in extremely rare cases, grabbing onto an umbrella turns out to be a really bad idea.

Sadik Kocadalli from Osmaniye, Turkey was trying to hold a patio umbrella down amid strong winds with the help of two other men. However, an incredible gust of wind swept the whole thing off the ground — and him along with it!

The gust lifted the parasol about three or four metres into the air, but later the man managed to escape unharmed, The Independent reported.
