"We're doing very well in terms of the summit with North Korea," Trump was quoted as saying by Reuters at the White House. "It's moving along very nicely. So we're looking at June 12th in Singapore. That hasn't changed. So, we'll see what happens."
On Saturday, Seoul's presidential office said that earlier in the day South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un had met for the second time in the village of Panmunjom in the demilitarized zone. During the meeting, Kim reportedly expressed a "fixed will" to hold a North Korea-US summit in Singapore and expressed commitment to denuclearize Korean peninsula.
"We are having very productive talks with North Korea about reinstating the Summit which, if it does happen, will likely remain in Singapore on the same date, June 12th., and, if necessary, will be extended beyond that date," Trump said in a tweet on Friday.

On Saturday, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said that the special US "pre-advance" delegation from the US administration would go to Singapore.
"The White House pre-advance team for Singapore will leave as scheduled in order to prepare should the summit take place," Sanders said.
On Thursday, North Korea in a goodwill gesture dismantled three test mines at the Punggye-Ri nuclear site, according to a Sputnik correspondent on the scene. Pyongyang's nuclear and missile tests have been a source of concerns and tensions between North Korea and its closest neighbors, Japan and South Korea, as well their allies, including the United States.
