The opening ceremony of the 2018 Winter Paralympic Games in South Korean Pyeongchang is underway on Friday.
The ceremony started at 20.00 local time (11.00 GMT) at the Pyeongchang Olympic Stadium. The slogan of the event is "Passion moves us."

About 650 athletes from 48 national Olympic Committees, including 30 neutral Paralympic athletes from Russia will participate in the Games, which are scheduled to run through March 18. Competitions in the 2018 Winter Paralympics will be held in six Winter Paralympic sports, with 80 medal events in total.
