Latest developments in Afrin and the alignment of the Afrin Kurds and the central Government means that the USraeli “Turdistan” project as well as a federalisation is definitely scrapped in these parts (as it soon will be in the east). The latter (federalisation) as well as some “special status” might still be discussed but is no longer feasible since the Turds definitively have forfeited any such solution and can’t push for it. Afrin is Syria and Afrin Kurds are (again) Syrian citizens (however reluctantly received as such by Syrians, Backstabbing traitors and petty thieves are not popular in any society ) . The Russian plan as agreed upon by Turkey and Iran is still in the works and under finalization and Syria is injecting more SPF (Syrian Popular Forces) to face the Turks which means that Syria is hellbent on and is forcefully underlining I’ts conditions which is that, (according to the Russian plan) the Turkish occupation must end after Manbij and the US sitting duck forces are out. Russia and Turkey will no doubt work out a face-saving option for Turkey and everyone’s benefit. Everybody has made their points and Afrin is saved

Hopefully this will remind the Kurds that they are in reality Syrian.. while they may have a different culture they can live in Harmony if simple rules are obeyed as goes for every culture in every country..Cause trouble and you are frowned upon..learn to live together ...Nice thought but hard to do in practice ..one always wants to outdo the other just like power hungry politicians
Residents of a Kurdish-held enclave in northern Syria that recently became ground zero of a major Turkish military operation staged a rally to welcome the arrival of pro-Damascus militia units.
During a rally held in the main square of the city of Afrin, the assembled people waved Syrian flags and portraits of Syrian President Bashar Assad as they welcomed the arrival of pro-government militia troops to the beleaguered province, Press TV reports.
The participants of the rally insisted that "Afrin is an integral part of the territory of Syria" and swore to prevent both Turkish troops and "terrorist groups" from taking their homeland.
Turkey began its military campaign against the Kurdish militias in Afrin on January 20 of this year. Codenamed Olive Branch, the goal of the operation is to strike a blow against the US-backed People's Protection Units (YPG), which Ankara regards as an affiliate of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), which was branded as a terrorist organization by Turkey.
While clashes between the government of Syria and the self-declared Democratic Federation of Northern Syria, commonly known as Rojava, have been seldom, the Syrian government officially condemns any attempt to violate the integrity of the Syrian state. In February, 2016, The Economist described the relationship between Damascus and the Kurdish leadership as "a tacit alliance."
