On the eve of the upcoming World Cup, which will be held in the summer of 2018, Nizhny Novgorod is preparing to put on some exciting events for the city's guests.

According to the president of the Nizhny Novgorod Tourism League, Elena Portnova, in addition to the classic sightseeing tours, the program for the city's the guests will include a gastronomic event. Visitors will be able to enjoy traditional dishes and drinks of Russian national cuisine.

Russia will host the FIFA World Cup for the first time in its history from June 14 to July 15. Games of the tournament will be held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi, Yekaterinburg, Saransk, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Volgograd, and Samara.
