While there is definitely no shortage of polluted and abandoned industrial zones around the globe, it appears that these areas can actually be salvaged and revitalized, with barren landscapes being transformed into bustling recreation areas. Amager Bakke is a waste incineration plant that is being built in Copenhagen. The plant's concourse is also expected to double as a ski slalom course, while the complex itself is also designed to include a skating rink, hiking routes and a kart racing circuit.
