On Wednesday, the United States has imposed sanctions against five Russian nationals including head of Chechnya, a Russian republic in the North Caucasus, Ramzan Kadyrov, under the Magnitsky Act. According to the US Treasury's website, sanctions were also imposed against Yulia Mayorova, Andrei Pavlov, Ayub Kataev and Alexei Sheshenya.
"We can assume with a high degree of probability that, of course, the principle of reciprocity will be respected," Peskov told reporters.
When asked who of US figures might be equal to Kadyrov, Peskov replied that "they have few such people."
"We consider these sanctions illegal, unfriendly, we do not agree with them," Peskov added.

Detention of Spy in Ukraine
"We have read the news, but we do not have any information, so I cannot tell you anything specific," Peskov told reporters, answering the question whether the Kremlin knew of the statement of the Security Service of Ukraine about the detention of an alleged Russian spy.
Earlier in the day, the Ukrainian media released a video of detention of the Groysman's assistant who allegedly gathered and transferred information on the functioning of the Ukrainian authorities to Russia.
Lethal Weapons Deliveries to Ukraine
"Moscow's reaction to possible deliveries of lethal weapons to Ukraine is well known. This, perhaps, will once again warm up the nationalist hotheads, who only seek to once again turn to the military method of settlement in Donbass, which is absolutely unpromising, and unleash bloodshed again," Peskov told reporters when asked to comment on media reports that the United States allegedly intends to supply lethal weapons to Ukraine.
He said there were no official statements from Washington.
"But I want to note that there were official refutations from Washington, those reports of the American press are untrue. No official decisions have been made on the issue yet," Peskov said.
