Prince Harry said he was "nervous" about interviewing the former US president.

Prince Harry has interviewed former US President Barack Obama as part of the BBC's Today radio program, set to be broadcast on December 27.

In a video clip released by the BBC, the former US president joked: "Do I need a British accent?" with the Prince responding, "No, but if you start using long pauses between answers you're going to get 'the face'" before scowling.

Prince Harry has described how he felt in his new role: "You're excited about this. I'm nervous about this. That's what's quite funny."

According to Kensington Palace, the interview was recorded in Canada's Toronto in September during the Invictus Games, a sports event for wounded military personnel that Prince Harry had established.

The video has immediately gone viral, with many saying they "miss" Barack Obama and enjoy the new "bromance."

However, some Twitter users have reminded that Obama doesn't represent Washington any more after Donald Trump has assumed office.

Meanwhile, the world is looking forward to the May wedding of Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle that has been making headlines since the announcement of the engagement made on November 27.
