Philadelphia CBS anchor Jim Donovan apparently didn’t know what he was getting into when he insisted on entering a pain endurance challenge with co-anchor Rahel Solomon, who grew up in Ethiopia eating spicy food.

Last week, the two anchors participated in the "OneChipChallenge," a contest to determine who can eat a single hot Paqui Carolina Reaper chip — made from the world's hottest pepper — while keeping their cool.

Solomon seemed to enjoy the spicy chip, while Donovan ended up in the station's bathrooms a few agonizing minutes after trying it.

"My lips are on fire," Donovan said while tearing up.

This isn't the first time that someone has braved the heat of the chip.

Earlier this month, former NBA champion Shaquille O'Neal tried the infamous chip on "Inside the NBA," and ended up coughing as his eyes watered up.

"Oh it's hot, anybody got some milk?" O'Neal said as the other members of "Inside the NBA" laughed at him.

Inspired by the contest, TNT took the golden opportunity to put up a graphic of O'Neal literally catching on fire.
