A pair of jumbo jets that ended up on sale after their previous owner went bankrupt was sold for approximately $48 million via a Chinese online shopping website.

A Chinese cargo carrier called SF Airlines has recently purchased two Boeing 747 jumbo jets via an auction held at the online shopping website Taobao.

Both aircraft were kept in storage after the authorities seized them following their previous owner, Jade Cargo International, filing for bankruptcy in September 2013.
