The threat was received on early Monday with police officers were sent to the spot. Police are searching the person behind the fake bomb alert.

KIEV (Sputnik) — More than 170 people were evacuated from a district court in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv on Monday over a false bomb threat, local police reported.

"Experts examined 1,400 square meters [over 1600 sq. yd.] in the building and 2,000 square meters outside it, 172 people have been evacuated. No explosives have been found," the statement said.

Meanwhile, the day before mass evacuations took place in different venues in Moscow, for instance, 700 people were evacuated from the Bolshoi Theater after an anonymous bomb threat call. The evacuation was also underway in several shopping malls and in "Fakel" movie theater in the east of Moscow. According to Alexander Bortnikov, the head of Russia's Federal Security Service, the individuals behind the phone calls acted from abroad.
