The perpetrator used a Snickers bar wrapped in a plastic bag "to create the appearance of a pistol" in order to intimidate his victims and force them to relinquish their valuables. Using this improvised weapon the criminal managed to rob a female passerby, a convenience store and three flower shops before being arrested by the authorities.

The robber was put on trial and sentenced to 6 years in prison.
