Many people were upset with US President Donald Trump's "both sides" statement on the violent protests.
For instance, German Der Spiegel magazine reacted to the statement by placing on its cover a picture of Donald Trump in a Ku Klux Klan hood.

Next to the image, there was an inscription: "The True Face of Donald Trump."
The controversial Spiegel's cover caused a vivid debate among social media users. Some think that the German magazine has gone too far, while others supported the move.

A Facebook user even called Der Spiegel a "sh*t magazine" over the controversial cover. Another one, in turn, wrote: "Anyone who spreads such bullsh*t only documents his or her own stupidity. The KKK has its roots in the Democratic Party of the Southern States. We call them the Dixiecrats."
A Facebook user Ojk Tardis commented on the magazine's cover saying: "I can no longer bear the propaganda being spread by Der Spiegel. Trump has been vehemently opposing racism, neo-Nazis, white supremacists and David Duke [Ku Klux Klan founder] for years. Again and again. A woman who became a victim of Charlotteville is misused for spreading fake news in this article, because such coverage of events (intentionally) leads readers in a wrong direction."
A major rally of white nationalists protesting the removal of a statue honoring Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee took place last Saturday, in Charlottesville, US. The protest campaign subsequently led to violent clashes between the demonstrators and counter-protesters.
During the clashes between the two camps, a car rammed into the crowd and caused multiple injuries among the counter-demonstrators.
