The vigil will be held at the University of Virginia (UVA).
"We are having a vigil, there is a vigil for Heather, the woman who died yesterday. We are having a vigil on UVA lawn tonight," Katrina Turner said.
About a hundred demonstrators gathered in downtown Charlottesville near the police station on Sunday following Saturday's violence. The situation was calm, however, there was a heavy police presence in the area with several officers in riot gear or carrying assault rifles.
The "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville was organized by far-right nationalists on Saturday as a protest against the plans to remove a monument to Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee. The rally led to clashes between the demonstrators and counterprotesters, culminating in a car ramming attack, which left one person dead and over 30 injured. BLM members were among those who had participated in counterprotests and were hit by the ramming attack.
The woman killed was identified as 32-year-old Heather Heyer.
