The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) ruined the houses of terrorists responsible for the attack on police at the Temple Mount complex, located in the Old City of Jerusalem, according to official statement.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) demolished on Thursday the houses of two terrorists responsible for the attack on police at the Temple Mount complex, located in the Old City of Jerusalem, and sealed the house of another man involved in the attack, the IDF press service said in a statement.

"This night our forces… ruined the houses of terrorists, Osama Atta and Bara Salah, and sealed the house of terrorist Adel Ankush. Those are the terrorists who perpetrated the attack in Jerusalem, which resulted in the death of security service employee Hadas Malka," the press service said.

Malka was killed on June 16 during a double terrorist attack at the Damascus Gate entrance to the Old City of Jerusalem. All three terrorists were shot dead by the police.

According to the press service, the IDF also demolished the house of Malek Hamed in the Palestinian village of Silwad, who killed Israeli serviceman Elhai Taharlev on April 6.

On July 14, two more Israeli police officers died and another one was wounded in an attack carried out by the three armed assailants at the Temple Mount complex. The police chased and killed the attackers.

Following the latest attack, the Temple Mount, which is the third holiest site in Islam, was equipped with metal detectors and surveillance video cameras to monitor its territory. The measures were soon lifted, however, they still led to unrest in Jerusalem and forced Palestine to suspend contacts with Israel over several Palestinian deaths.
