Scheduled Power Blackouts Affect Over 108,000 Residents in Crimea
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, the ministry announced introduction of temporary power blackouts due to extremely high levels of electricity consumption because of unusually hot weather in the region.

"At 10:25 p.m. [local time, 19:25 GMT]… all consumers that have been cut off from the network during the scheduled blackouts were reconnected to the grid, the power supply in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol was fully restored," the ministry said in a statement.

According to the ministry, some 25,000 residents were affected by power cuts in Sevastopol, and nearly 84,000 across the peninsula experienced power shortages.
