More than 108,000 people were temporary left without electricity in Crimea on Monday as a result of the introduction of a scheduled power blackouts, the Russian Energy Ministry said.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — In particular, 24,800 residents were affected in Sevastopol, while 83,900 people experienced power shortages through the rest of the Crimean peninsula, according to the ministry.

The ministry announced the introduction of temporary power cuts earlier on Monday.
