Lavrov Possibly to Meet With Turkish Counterpart During ASEAN Forum in Manila

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov could meet his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu on the sidelines of ASEAN forum in Manila, a source in the Russian delegation told reporters on Sunday.

MANILA (Sputnik) — During his visit to the Philippines on August 6-8, Lavrov is also set to take part in the annual ASEAN events, including ASEAN-Russia ministerial meeting, East Asia Summit (EAS) foreign ministers' meeting and ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) session on security.

"Such meeting could take place on Sunday," the source said.

The 50th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM) and Related Meetings take place in the Philippine capital of Manila on August 2-8, bringing together the heads of foreign offices from 27 states.
