MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On June 5, Bahrain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE broke off diplomatic relations and communication with Qatar, accusing it of supporting terrorism and interfering in their internal affairs. Kuwait handed the ultimatum of the four Arab states with 13 demands to Doha, which Qatar has refused to comply with.
On Monday, Qatar filed an official complaint to the WTO against Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, saying the economic sanctions violate trade rules and asking to organize the consultations with the three blockading states.
"Production could start here [in Turkey] but continue [in Qatar]… One of the most important things we need in our future goals is to ensure our sustainable energy and raw material needs," the Turkish minister was quoted as saying at a Turkey-Qatar business forum by the Anadolu News Agency.
According to Zeybekci, Turkey has sent 221 cargo planes of daily use items to Qatar since the beginning of trade blockade imposed on Qatar by Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
