BRICS Should Enhance Cooperation in Energy Security - Russian Official
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The second meeting of BRICS Industry Ministers kicked off in China’s Hangzhou earlier in the day. The ministers discussed investment, innovation and trade, the media added.

"Ministers have jointly signed an action plan for deepening industrial cooperation among BRICS countries. The world economy is still suffering from the last crisis. Industries are facing both opportunities and challenges brought by new technologies. BRICS countries should utilize our existing cooperation platforms to deepen cooperation in key areas," Miao said, as quoted by the CGTN channel.

China is set to host the next summit of BRICS, scheduled to take place in September in Xiamen.

BRICS is an association of five developing economies, namely Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, aiming to enhance cooperation among themselves and strengthen the efforts of other international organizations working for world betterment in a number of spheres.
